Providing a venue for shoulder and elbow surgeons in the Middle East to share their ideas and unite their efforts in:

• Improving the level of knowledge and skill in this sub-specialty among surgeons already in practice as well as those in training through regular courses at the basic and the advanced levels.
• Presenting the original research done in their local practices and institutions, both at annual/bi-annual meetings and in an eventual published and recognized journal.
• Collaborating in multi-centric, multi-national, original research studies that may reveal phenomena and trends specific to our region’s sub-populations.

Creating a representative entity that gives our region a place on the world stage and allows us to interact with other similar regional societies, thus opening up educational and research opportunities to our members that may otherwise not be available.

Ultimately, raising the standard of the treatment of shoulder and elbow problems in our region to provide our patients with the same outcomes as those available in more developed countries.
